The Women's Center is committed to helping women gain personal and economic self-sufficiency and reach their full potential through education, job readiness, networking, outreach and referrals. We offer a wide range of services and support to help women through major transitions with focus especially on women who are separated, divorced, widowed or whose spouse has become disabled and can no longer provide financial support. Each candidate is screened and then meets with a counselor to set short-term, intermediate and long-term goals. They have access to Career Counselors who can help them identify their skills and how to market themselves in a competitive labor market. The Center provides free educational and vocational counseling, access to computer training classes and a variety of workshops to help women transition into the workforce. Funding is provided through the Division on Women, New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
